Kowhai Intermediate has offered a Samoan bilingual language programme for Years 7 & 8 in Central/West Auckland since 2009. Due to demand in 2011 the programme is now running full time. Established in 2009 Kowhai’s Samoan bilingual unit was started to maintain and uphold Samoan values and encourage the use and understanding of the Samoan language.
